§ 22-7. Rules and regulations

The mayor, in consultation with the chief of police, may from time to time promulgate and amend rules and regulations governing the police department not inconsistent with state law, this Code or other ordinance of the town for the government of the police department and the conduct of its members. Such rules and regulations, when approved by resolution of the town council, shall be obeyed and complied with by all members of the police department.
